How the records are made

Self-produced, then finished in the best room available

Every release in this catalogue was produced by the artist. The arrangements are written at the piano and the harp, demoed at home, and then tracked with players who are given the harmonic frame and trusted with the rest.

The Ancestry was recorded at Smart Studios in Madison, Wisconsin and mastered at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, Maine — the room that finished Loreena McKennitt’s records. The 2016 single was mixed and mastered by Mark Wyse.
