Shipping & Returns

Processing times, worldwide delivery estimates, customs, lost or damaged parcels, the 30-day return window and how digital downloads work.

What this policy covers

This policy applies to every order placed through the shop: compact discs, digital downloads, hand-written parchment lyrics, signed prints and bundles. Orders are fulfilled by hand from 1102 River Drive, Moorhead, MN 56560.

It sits alongside the Terms of Use. Where the two differ on a matter concerning an order, this page prevails.

Because these items are made and packed by one person rather than by a warehouse, the timescales below are honest estimates rather than guarantees — and if anything is going to be late, you will be told before the deadline passes rather than after.

Processing times

  • In-stock physical items — packed and dispatched within 2 to 3 business days of payment clearing.
  • Hand-written parchment lyrics — made individually after the order is placed. Allow 7 to 14 business days before dispatch. If you need one by a particular date, say so when ordering and it will be confirmed or declined honestly.
  • Signed items — add 2 to 4 business days.
  • Digital downloads — delivered by email within a few minutes of payment. If nothing arrives within an hour, check the spam folder and then write.
  • Bundles — dispatched complete, so the slowest item in the bundle sets the timing. Ask for a split shipment if you would rather have part of it sooner.

Orders placed on a weekend or a United States public holiday are processed from the next business day. During November and December, add several days to every figure above.

Shipping methods, costs and delivery estimates

Physical orders travel by tracked postal services. Shipping is calculated at checkout by destination and weight; the estimates below are from the date of dispatch, not the date of order.

Shipping destinations and estimated delivery times

CanadaInternational tracked7–21 business daysYes
United Kingdom & EuropeInternational tracked10–21 business daysYes
Australia, New Zealand & AsiaInternational tracked14–28 business daysYes

A tracking number is emailed on dispatch. International tracking frequently goes quiet between the export scan and the destination country's first scan; this is normal and is not a sign that the parcel is lost.

Packaging

Discs travel in rigid mailers. Posters and prints travel rolled in tubes. Parchment lyrics travel flat between stiff boards, in a waterproof sleeve, in a rigid envelope. Packaging is plastic-free wherever a plastic-free option protects the item adequately.

Customs, duties and import taxes

Prices do not include import duties or taxes. For deliveries outside the United States, the recipient is the importer of record and is responsible for any customs duty, VAT, GST or handling fee charged by the destination country.

These charges are set by your own government and its carriers, not by us, and we cannot estimate them in advance or reimburse them. Customs forms are always completed accurately and honestly; we cannot mark an order as a gift or under-declare its value, and we will decline any request to do so.

If a parcel is refused at customs, or is returned because charges went unpaid, the order will be refunded less the outbound shipping cost and any return fee charged to us.

Lost, delayed and damaged parcels

  • Delayed. Before a parcel can be treated as lost, the carrier requires it to be overdue: 20 business days domestically and 40 business days internationally, from dispatch. Almost everything that looks lost arrives within that window.
  • Lost. Once that window has passed, write and you will be offered a replacement or a full refund, your choice. A claim will be filed with the carrier, but that is our problem, not yours, and the outcome of the claim does not affect your refund.
  • Damaged. Photograph the packaging and the item and write within 14 days of delivery. A replacement is sent at no cost; there is no need to return the damaged item unless the carrier specifically requires it.
  • Wrong address. Check the address before confirming. If an order is returned as undeliverable because of an address error, it can be resent once the new shipping cost is paid.

Returns and cancellations

The 30-day window

Unopened physical items may be returned within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the item price. Tell us before sending anything back so the return can be recorded and matched to your order.

How a return works

  1. Write within 30 days of delivery, quoting your order reference.
  2. Return instructions are sent the same or next business day.
  3. Pack the item as it arrived and send it with a tracked service — without tracking, we cannot help if it goes missing on the way back.
  4. Refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days of the return arriving.

Who pays return postage

  • We do, if the item is faulty, damaged, or not what you ordered.
  • You do, if you have simply changed your mind. Outbound shipping is not refunded in that case.

What cannot be returned

  • Digital downloads, once the download link has been used. If a file is corrupt or will not play, it will be replaced immediately — that is a fault, not a change of mind.
  • Personalised parchment lyrics, once written, unless faulty. They are made to order for one person.
  • Opened media where the seal has been broken, unless faulty.

Cancelling before dispatch

An order can be cancelled at any time before dispatch for a full refund, including shipping. Write as soon as you can; small orders sometimes go out the same day.

Consumer rights

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you have a legal right to cancel most distance-sale orders within 14 days of receiving the goods, for any reason, and to receive a refund. That right does not apply to sealed media once unsealed, to goods made to your personal specification, or to digital content you have begun downloading after agreeing to immediate supply. Our 30-day window is deliberately more generous than the statutory minimum.

If you are a consumer in the United States, your rights vary by state and are unaffected by this policy. Faulty goods are always replaced or refunded regardless of the window.

Digital downloads in detail

  • Files are supplied as high-quality MP3 and, where offered, as lossless FLAC or WAV.
  • Download links do not expire and have no download limit. If a link stops working, write and a new one will be issued the same day, however long ago you bought it.
  • Bonus material — the An Samhradh historical booklet, the Enchanted Winter colouring page — is delivered as PDF alongside the audio.
  • Purchases are for personal, non-commercial listening. Public performance, broadcast, synchronisation to picture and any commercial use require a separate licence; see Licensing.

Pre-orders, restocks and sold-out items

Where a pre-order is offered, the expected dispatch date is stated at the time of ordering. If that date moves by more than 30 days, you will be told and offered a full refund without having to ask.

Items marked sold out fall into two groups, and we will always tell you honestly which is which: hand-made items such as parchment lyrics reappear regularly, while limited-edition pressings and signed posters are finite and will not be reprinted. Write to [email protected] to be told when something returns.

Contact for order questions

Every order question goes to [email protected] or through the contact form, and is answered by the person who packed the parcel.

Include your order reference and, for anything damaged, a photograph. Order enquiries are normally answered within two business days.
